The Library

As well as the ongoing programs in Nei Gong and Martial Arts, the Academy also includes an extensive library of courses, lectures and talks delivered by Damo on his events around the world.

Over the years, Damo has taught thousands of students across the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia in person on his popular events. These courses often include detailed talks on Daoism, Buddhism, Alchemy and associated philosophies. This is so that students gain a deeper understanding of the arts they come to study as well as the wider culture within which it sits.

Many of these talks and teachings make their way into the Academy library which has 100’s of hours of footage.

The Academy Library

“Daoflix’

The ever-growing library includes lengthy theoretical talks on:

  • Daoism & Buddhism
  • Nei Gong & Internal Theory
  • Meditation & Mental Work
  • Martial Arts
  • Wider Spiritual Cultivation
  • Chinese Medicine

These talks amount to 100’s of hours of footage and we are constantly adding to this vast resource. With so much footage, and so many hours of talks to watch, studnets have jokingly dubbed the page ‘Daoflix’ and Damo has had to apologise to the spouses of several students who now find their TV taken up by lectures from the Academy!

Structured Courses

As well as the talks which were recorded ‘live’ on Damo’s events, the Library also includes a number of structured courses which students may move through at their own pace. These include courses on such subjects as:

  • The Dragon Dao Yin
  • Heavenly Streams Practice
  • Kua and Body Development
  • Time-Based Practice
  • Qi Deviation Sickness
  • And More…

All of these structured courses are available as a part of the standard membership to the Internal Arts Academy and then, students also have the choice to access Damo’s events which are often restricted to Academy students only rather than being fully open to the public.

It should be noted that Damo is not politically correct and does not adhere to Woke sensibilities. He also assumes he is talking to adults and, as such, he often jokes in a way which some may find offensive during his talks.
During classes and talks, jokes may arise that reference people, cultures, religions, traditions, political ideas or any other topic that happens to surface in the moment. For those who prefer highly filtered language or a carefully moderated tone, Damo’s teaching style may not be the most suitable fit.
You have been warned…

A Warning!

Here is an example video taken from the Internal Arts Academy library.

In this session, foundational principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine are introduced through the lens of the Kidneys, exploring their role as the storehouse of Jing and the root of constitutional strength.

The lecture outlines how Kidney function underpins growth, development, vitality and long-term resilience, while also clarifying their relationship to fear, willpower and the deeper reserves that sustain both health and internal training.

Many of the talks in the Academy library are in this format, Damo talking spontaneously about subjects related to the Internal Arts with just a whiteboard and a camera. These are mixed in with talks delivered to public groups and back and forth with students.

“Internal Arts Academy is a gold mine of knowledge inaccessible anywhere else.

There are teachers around the world who have had the chance to practise with one or two masters and then make a living from what they have learned. In contrast, Damo Mitchell has dedicated his life to extensive travel in search of true and original knowledge, training with the best in the world and sharing all of the wisdom he has gained in the most accessible way.

It is more than just teaching; it is a mission not only to keep these divine ancient arts alive, but also to generously help as many people as possible to evolve their body, mind and spirit.

Having had the privilege to study under Damo’s guidance, as well as with many senior teachers from Lotus Nei Gong International, for well over a decade, I am more than grateful for how my life has transformed. With access to the Internal Arts Academy, I can continue to deepen my practice through this vast range of online courses, library resources, writings and podcasts available to anyone aged 18 and above.

I do not think I would ever be able to learn even a fraction of these amazing Daoist arts otherwise, especially as all of this insight is usually strictly reserved for a small circle of trusted students behind closed doors.”
