About Us

‘Paul Mitchell – Internal Arts‘ is part of the umbrella organisation Lotus Nei Gong International. Paul Mitchell is the father and first teacher of Lotus Nei Gong International’s founder – Damo (Damien) Mitchell.

As a practitioner of the internal arts, Paul Mitchell specialises in teaching several aspects of classical training including, Qi Gong, Dao Yin, Nei Gong and Taijiquan (Tai Chi).

In a world where many traditional methods of personal cultivation have been watered-down almost to the point of extinction, both father and son have devoted their lives to the often-arduous task of reversing this trend within their classes and courses.

Lotus Nei Gong International

Lotus Nei Gong International was established in 2004 by Damo Mitchell. LNG is a school of internal arts, including martial arts, energetic practice and spiritual development. The syllabus is based upon Damo’s personal study which began in childhood and has now continued for over three decades of in-depth study; over a decade of this being spent traveling and studying extensively in the far-East. This study includes cross-referencing and comparing the methods and systems of numerous master-level teachers across Europe, China, Southeast Asia and Taiwan.

Paul Mitchell Internal Arts

Paul Mitchell began his studies with the Japanese Art of Karate and from here moved into Yang family Taijiquan and Daoist internal practice. He now practices all of these arts alongside one another and focuses on self-development as his main path of both study and teaching. He runs regular weekly classes in Wells, Somerset (UK) but can also be found teaching workshops and other events around the world as well as heading several of the official branches of Lotus Nei Gong International including: Somerset, Wantage and Munich.

Yang Taijiquan

Yang Taijiquan according to the lineages of Huang Xingxian, Yang Chenfu and Yang Shaohao are taught within Lotus Nei Gong International and these are the methods taught by Paul Mitchell on his events.

Train with Paul

Paul Mitchell teaches his events in the UK, Europe and North America as independent events and also as the head of several of the official branches of the Lotus Nei Gong International School. Please check out his events page for details.
